Welcome to Physical Education with Mr. Ledford!
Week 1: This week we will be working on preparing for the trimester. We will be learning our line positions, the rules and expectations for the students while in Physical Education class, and passing out locks and assigning lockers. Week 2: This week we will be doing pre-testing for physical fitness. All Students will be doing pre-testing in physical fitness to see how physically fit the students are. The tests we will be doing will focus on flexibility, sit-up test, pull-up test, shuttle run test, and mile run test.
Week 3 and beyond:
Basketball: We will practice the skills necessary to play basketball such as the rules of the game, teamwork, throwing, pitching, fielding, hitting, and sportsmanship. Then use the skills in team sport.
Softball: We will practice the skills necessary to play floor hockey all such as the rules of the game, teamwork, passing, catching, defense, and sportsmanship. Then use the skills in team sport.
Football: We will practice the skills necessary to play volleyball such as the rules of the game, teamwork, kicking, passing, goal tending, and sportsmanship. Then use the skills in team sport.
Line Soccer: We will practice the skills necessary to play line soccer such as the rules of the game, teamwork, passing, shooting, dribbling, and sportsmanship. Then use the skills in team sport.

MUSCLE MONDAY!!!!
We have introduced "Muscle Monday" to our weekly routine. Every Monday the students will be participating in a circuit fitness activity where the students will perform various exercises for 1 1/2 min , run for 1 1/2 min, then cycle to another exercise, and repeat the process. Some of the activities that the students will be doing are push-ups, sit-ups, shuttle run, light weight training, flexibility exercises, pull-ups, balance exercises, agility training, peg wall, and core training.
